ANWENDUNG
ACSR-Leiter werden häufig für die elektrische Energieübertragung über große Entfernungen verwendet, da sie ideal für lange Spannweiten von Freileitungen sind.Sie werden auch als Träger zum Tragen von elektrischen Oberleitungen verwendet.

Grunddesign nach BS 215-2 / BS EN 50182 / IEC 61089 / ASTM B 232/B 232M / DIN 48204 / JIS C 3110.
KONSTRUKTION
ACSR-Leiter bestehen aus mehreren Drähten aus Aluminium und verzinktem Stahl, die in konzentrischen Lagen verseilt sind.Der Draht oder die Drähte, die den Kern bilden, bestehen aus galvanisiertem Stahl, und die Außenschicht oder -schichten bestehen aus Aluminium.Verzinkter Stahlkern besteht normalerweise aus 1, 7 oder 19 Drähten.Die Durchmesser von Stahl- und Aluminiumdrähten können gleich oder unterschiedlich sein.
Durch Variieren der relativen Anteile von Aluminium und Stahl können die erforderlichen Eigenschaften für jede spezielle Anwendung erreicht werden.Eine höhere UTS kann durch Erhöhen des Stahlgehalts und eine höhere Strombelastbarkeit durch Erhöhen des Aluminiumgehalts erreicht werden.
